Mary Beth Augustine RDN, CDN, FAND – Lead Clinical Educator
Mary Beth Augustine is a Registered Dietitian Nutritionist, Fellow of the Academy of Nutrition and Dietetics, and Delegate in the Academy House of Delegates. Mary Beth’s past work experience includes 21 years practicing in integrative medicine departments in three teaching hospitals in the New York City area, and cardiovascular research at the American Health Foundation. Mary Beth’s speaking highlights include the United Nations Committee on Aging, American Institute for Cancer Research Cancer Survivor Conference, Integrative Healthcare Symposium, Food & Nutrition Conference & Expo (FNCE), and the Hawaii, Massachusetts, Nebraska, New Hampshire, New York, West Virginia and Wisconsin Academy of Nutrition and Dietetics meetings. Mary Beth has been featured on CBS, ABC, NBC, and Fox 5 News, Today in New York, CNN Market Watch, Discovery Health TV, and National Public Radio.
Julie Wiener ND
Dr. Julie Wiener, ND graduated from Bastyr University in 1998 with a doctorate in Naturopathic Medicine. Prior to her studies in Naturopathic Medicine she earned a B.S in Environmental Sciences and Toxicology at the University of Massachusetts at Amherst. She has been practicing Naturopathic Medicine for over 20 years. In her private practice she works with individuals with endocrine, metabolic, digestive, mental emotional, and inflammatory conditions. She believes strongly in empowering patients through education, balanced nutrition, and healthy lifestyles as a basis for good health and prevention of illness. In addition to her private practice, Dr. Julie has written and delivered courses in Functional Medicine, Non-herbal Dietary Supplements, 5 Steps to Wellness for Healthcare Students, and preceptored students as Adjunct Assistant Instructor of Pharmacy at Mass College of Pharmacy and Health Sciences. In her free time Dr. Julie enjoys hikes with her family and dogs, practicing yoga, and creating healthy culinary delights for her family and friends.
Jennifer Paulson FNP-BC
Jennifer Paulson is a dually board-certified Family Nurse Practitioner and Advanced Practice Holistic Nurse. Jennifer completed her graduate degree from Concordia University in 2008. In 2019 she started her Doctorate of Nursing Practice degree at the University of Arizona, where she is studying mindfulness-based stress reduction with the integration of yoga into primary care settings.
Jennifer retired from conventional medicine primary care in 2014 and started her private practice, Functional Medicine of Bend. After healing herself and family members from devastating diagnoses that conventional medicine could not offer solutions to, Jennifer created a clinic to bring this holistic, functional medicine care to her patients. In 2020, Jennifer sold her clinic but continues to practice functional medicine part-time while offering consulting services.
In 2017, Jennifer completed her education with the Institute of Functional Medicine, receiving her Certified Practitioner standing (IFMCP). As a passionate health advocate and lifelong learner, Jennifer pursued additional training to become a Registered Yoga Teacher, certified HeartMath™ practitioner, Holistic Pelvic Care™ practitioner, and a Reiki practitioner. She has extensive training in bio-identical hormone therapy, environmental medicine, mindfulness-based stress reduction, women’s health, and nutrigenomics/epigenetics.
Using a holistic approach to care, Jennifer partners with her patients to create individualized plans to achieve health goals while addressing the root cause of symptoms. Outside of clinical practice, you can find her at a local yoga class, hiking in nature, shopping the local farmers market, and spending time with her family and pets.
Suzanne Barker MS, RND, LD, CTTS, CGP
Suzanne Barker is passionate about bringing health and healing to every environment. She is an RDN/Clinical Educator, and Certified Gluten Practitioner with Vibrant America. She is proud to be a fightin’ Texas Aggie and holds a MS in Nutrition Science from Texas A&M University.
Her hobbies include cycling, especially mountain biking, traveling, and creating healthy recipes. In her free time, her favorite thing to do is spend time with her husband, Michael, and their 4 daughters.
Suzette Garcia MSc- MHNE
Suzette Garcia, MSc: MHNE, is a Board Certified Holistic Nutritionist® certified through the Holistic Nutrition Credentialing Board (HNCB) and a Professional Member of the National Association of Nutrition Professionals (NANP). Garcia obtained her Master of Science in Health and Nutrition Education (MHNE) from Hawthorn University and has spent her nutrition career working in the field of functional health and nutrition with a strong focus on food sensitivities. Garcia is fluent in both English and Spanish and offers interpretation of lab test results in both languages.
In her spare time, Suzette enjoys spending most of her time on the waters of south Florida, vacationing to tropical locations, yoga, and furthering her education in the field of functional health and nutrition. She is a native Floridian who resides in Palm Beach County, FL.
Tammy Russell MS RD
Tammy Russell, MS, RD has a long history as a dietitian, an integrative nutritionist, and a functional medicine-based counselor. She has worked in the fields of inpatient and outpatient nutrition, clinical research, health coaching, private counseling, and teaching. She has a bachelors and masters degree in Nutritional Science from Rutgers University, and completed her dietetic internship at the University of Michigan Hospital in Ann Arbor. Tammy trained in functional medicine with the Institute for Functional Medicine, Functional Medicine University, Apex Energetics and Metagenics. She is currently an assistant professor at the American College of Healthcare Sciences, a clinical dietitian at Vibrant America, and maintains a private practice where she caters to a cohort of GI and other chronic disease patients. In her free time, Tammy enjoys hiking, walking, reading, creating new allergen-free recipes in the kitchen, spending time with her family and studying herbalism.
Courtney Kinder MS, RDN, IFNCP
Courtney Kinder MS, RDN, IFNCP is a Registered Dietitian/Nutritionist, Integrative and Functional Nutrition Certified Practitioner, and a Registered Yoga & Barre Teacher. She has worked in a variety of nutrition roles over her career, including health and wellness coaching, clinical nutrition, food service management, and teaching higher education.
Courtney discovered her passion for Integrative and Functional Nutrition after digging deeper for answers to her own health challenges when conventional methods were failing her. She went on to complete board certification by the Integrative and Functional Nutrition Academy in 2018, and has been in private practice and clinical consulting since, and her areas of expertise are in gut health, autoimmunity, cardiovascular disease, therapeutic diets, and holistic wellness.
Courtney is committed to uncovering the root causes of dysfunction and disease, and developing an actionable integrative and functional nutrition treatment plan. She advocates for an organic, whole foods focused diet that is grounded in ancestral food principles, but tailored to each person’s unique nutritional needs.
Courtney lives in Oregon where she enjoys staying active outdoors and experimenting in the kitchen.
Kyle Maiorana, RDN, LDN, IFNCP, CNE
Kyle Maiorana, RDN, LDN, IFNCP, CNE received a BS in Nutrition and Dietetics from Framingham State University. Kyle spent years working as the Lead Clinical Dietitian on Intensive Care Units and was also the Clinical Nutrition Manager, training other clinical dietitians and dietetic interns. She is an Integrative and Functional Nutrition Certified Practitioner (IFNCP) through the Integrative and Functional Nutrition Academy. Kyle is a Certified Culinary Nutrition Expert (CNE) certified by The Academy of Culinary Nutrition, and has a passion for helping clients implement dietary changes to help them feel their best. A Massachusetts native, Kyle now lives in Asheville, North Carolina with her partner Kaighn, and enjoys spending her spare time hiking, going to farmers markets, and cooking.
